Wayne Ellison is a born leader as evidenced by his community involvement and numerous personal commitments. He is a 1992 graduate of Devry Institute with a BS in Business, having served as student body president.  Wayne opened his business, Ellison Insurance Agency, in Norcross in January 2000.  In 2018 and 2019, he was awarded for being one of the top insurance agencies in the country by AAA.

Wayne is an active member of the New Mercies Christian Church where he serves as Team Lead of the Deacon Ministry and he has facilitated several mission trips to Africa, Guyana, Costa Rica and Jamaica.

Wayne is a 2005 graduate of Leadership Gwinnett. He is a member of the Gwinnett Rotary Club serving as its President Elect.

He is a member of the 100 Black Men of North Metro, Inc. serving as Vice President. Wayne has personally mentored once a month for a hour at Stripling Elementary School for the past  (9) years.

Wayne currently serves as a board member with Rainbow Village, and the United Way Gwinnett advisor board as its Chairman.

He is a member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity where he serves as Chapter Chaplain.

Wayne has received numerous awards for his community service including being named by the Gwinnett County Chamber of Commerce as Public Servant of the year in 2019 representing the 100 Blackmen of North Metro inc.

Wayne, originally from Virginia has lived in Gwinnett County since 1992.  He is married to Khady Deborah Ellison and is the father of three (3) sons -- Greg, Chris and Jalen. And their dog Pilar.
